Milos Farmhouses
Milos cottage is dated back to 1867. It consists of two restored cottages (their names are Maria and Evdokia) that are located in a two-acre field.
In the cottage, there are fig and pine trees, trees with pine seeds, cypress, olive groves, pomegranates, vineyards, prickly pears, rosemary and other types of trees grown in Patmos.
Around the cottage there are pergolas with canes and palm trees on them and also seats made from stone. You can sit and admire the wonderful view of the blue sky and the sea.
The rays of the sun create a magnificent scenery. The colours are changing in a unique manner. Our ancestral traditional house is built of stone in harmony with the environment. Natural harmony feeling stemming from the beneficial relationship of people and their environment.
The houses were made from stone (70cm thick) so as to keep you away from the heat during the summer. The roof was made from timbers and on the floor there are traditional tiles which are dated from the 1800. Except from the tiles, the floor is also wooden in some rooms. All the wooden constructions were created by a local experienced carpenter and they are copies which have been taken from old photos of the house. Beds and all furniture give the impression of a traditional cottage.
The quietness, the seclusion and the amazing view could enchant everyone. However, in a short distance, restaurants and clubs are available.
